1. Call for Application

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to inform the general public that theGovernment of the Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is offering a scholarship in the field of Master’s and PhD Degree for the 2025/2026 academic year. Applications are invited from qualified Tanzanian nationals that meet the minimum requirements outlined here below. For more information visit: http://www.koica.go.kr/ciat/index.do.

  1. Scholarship Coverage

The entire cost of training under this scheme, including the return international airfare, tuition fees, accommodation, emergency medical treatment, book allowance and study tour will be borne by the Government of the Republic of Korea. 

NB: There is no loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for candidates who will be offered this Scholarship.

  1. General Admission Requirements
  1. Be under the age of 40 generally or as specifically required by the University,
  2. Applicant must have a strong command of English, both in speaking and writing,
  3. Must have Bachelor Degree in related field, 
  4. Be in a good health both physically and mentally,  
  5. Applicants with disabilities, but in good mental and physical health are eligible and encouraged to apply 
  6. An applicant who has successfully completed Master’s program funded by KOICA or any other Korean Government Scholarship is NOT eligible to apply for the KOICA Master’s Program, 
  7. An applicant who has cancelled their KOICA master’s program is NOT eligible to apply for the KOICA Master’s program,
  8. Application forms should be typed (typewritten) in English and signed by hand, 
  9. Applicants must read carefully each programme information and ensure all University documents are Certified; and 
  10. Applicants are required to submit English Language Proficiency along with other application documents.

4.   List of documents to be submitted

  1. Complete KOICA application form, 
  2. Complete University application with required documents for the given University,
  3. Academic Certificates with Transcripts,  
  4. Recommendation letters from the applicant’s supervisor or professor with signature and seal as per University requirement,
  5. Curriculum Vitae in English, 
  6. A photocopy of Digital travelling Passport,

Applicants should open the file at respective Training Program and fill forms, print, endorse and submit to the Korean Embassy to Tanzania before the deadline on 31st July, 2025.
