THE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TENABLE IN MOROCCO FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

 

  1. Call for Application

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to announce to the general public that the Moroccan Agency of International Cooperation (AMCI) in partnership with the Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) is offering scholarships to train future senior officials undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Interested Tanzanian high school graduates are encouraged to apply for the academic year 2024/2025. The session is expected to start on 2nd September, 2024.

The AMCI – AUI Excellence Scholarship covers various academic programs that are taught in English. The programs included in this scheme are:

Bachelor’s Level:

(i)       Bachelor of Arts in International Studies;

(ii)     Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy Systems Engineering; and 

(iii)    Bachelor of Science in Intelligence and Robotization.

Master’s Level:

(i)       Master Arts in International Studies and Diplomacy;

(ii)     Master of Business Administration; and 

(iii)    Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Management.

2.    Eligibility

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

Bachelor’s Studies

  1. Hold an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in 2023 or 2024 with a minimum pass of Division II; and
  2. Be not older than 20 years on 1 September, 2024.

Master’s Studies

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Upper Second Class; and
  2. Be not older than 25 years on 1 September, 2024.

 

  1. List of documents to be submitted

Applicants must include the following documents listed below in two copies:

  1. For the Bachelor’s program:
  1. An application and motivation form indicating the chosen degree program;
  2. Certified copies of high school transcripts and leaving certificate; 
  3. Birth certificate;
  4. A certified copy of passport or valid identity document;
  5. A recent clean police record;
  6. A medical certificate issued by a public health authority attesting to the applicants physical fitness and that he/she has been vaccinated and is free from any contagious or acute illness. Applicants may be required to undergo a second examination on arrival in Morocco;
  7. Two recent passport size photographs, in color, with the candidate’s name on the back; 
  1. For the Master’s program:
  1. Documents listed under item A;
  2. Certified copy of Bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent and transcripts; and
  3. A TOFEL score report for applicants whose mother tongue is not English.
  1. Scholarship Benefits

Expenses covered by AMCI:

  1. Air travel costs (ticket to and from Morocco at the end of the studies);
  2. Transfer to and from the airport;
  3. Accommodation and meals on the AUI campus during the stay;
  4. AUI library fees;
  5. Health insurance and repatriation in the event of death; and
  6. A monthly grant (per Diem).

Expenses covered by AUI:

Exemption from registration and tuition fees.

  1. The application should be submitted in hard or soft copy to reach the undersigned not later than 5thJuly, 2024.

NB:     

  1. There is no loan or grant from the Government of Tanzania for candidates who will be offered this scholarship.
  2. Only shortlisted applicants shall be contacted.
  3. Nomination does not in any way guarantee selection or placement.
  4. Any candidate presenting fake/ falsified academic/ professional certificates will be dealt with according to the law.
