1.0  Call for Application

The general public is informed that the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme for 2024/2025 is open for eligible Tanzanians to pursue Bachelor's, Master's, One-tier Master's, and PhD studies in Hungary. 2.0     Application requirements

Applicants must take note of the following application requirements:

  1. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with division one or two, or a Diploma with a minimum pass of Upper Second Class for undergraduate candidates
  2.  Relevant Bachelor's degree with Upper Second Class for Master’s degree candidates
  3.  Relevant Master’s degree with a minimum of Upper Second Class for PhD candidates and 
  4. English Language Proficiency skills

3.0      List of documents for submission: 

As part of the evaluation process, the applicant must submit the following supporting documents along with the online application form: 

  1. Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts;
  2. Motivation letter;
  3. Proof of English Language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL certificate);
  4. Copy of a valid passport;
  5. Research plan (for PhD candidates);
  6. Two signed letters of recommendation (from the applicant’s former or current academic tutor(s) or supervisor(s) for PhD candidates); and 
  7. Medical certificate.

4.0      Provisions covered by the Scholarship

The scholarship will cover the following provisions:

  1. Full exemption from tuition fees;
  2. Monthly stipend;
  3. Accommodation; and
  4. Medical insurance.

5.0       Application process:

The application process for scholarship, programs, and Host Institutions is accessible through this link: https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu/ The online application system will officially open from 16th November 2024 and the deadline for submission is 15th January 2025, 2 PM (Central European time).
