REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR CAPACITY BUILDING ON DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL LEARNING RESOURCES AND THE INTERGRATION OF ICT IN TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR MOEST, NACTE AND TECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CONDUCTING A SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS (LABOUR MARKET SURVEY)

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a loan from the African Development Fund toward the cost of Support to Technical Vocational Education and Training and Teachers Education Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Loan to payments under the contract for Technical Assistance for Capacity Building on Development of Digital Learning Resources and the Integration of ICT in Teaching and Learning for MoEST, NACTE and Technical Institutions.

The services of Individual Consultant included under this project are; conduct analysis of current system in order to establish status of integration of ICT in Technical Institutions, assess the capacity of TVET institutions in developing digital learning, lead in developing modules for capacity building, provide the draft outlines of the training workshop and implementing capacity building for duration of 21 weeks.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology now invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested individual consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting updated CV’s, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions and relevant skills.

In order to ensure complementarities of skills, an Individual Consultant with the following specific qualifications and experience will be contracted to carry out the assignment

  • Master’s degree or higher in fields of education or ICT;
  • Knowledge and relevant experience on: teaching including Microteaching; photography and videography; and developing 2D animations and graphics;
  • Knowledge of and relevant experience of delivery of competence based education and training will be an added advantage; and
  • Excellent analysis and report writing skills.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” of May, 2008 Edition Revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
